Susan Loughrin

Susan is currently working as the Arts Consultant at the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District. She works with all arts educators (pre-K-12) in Ottawa County providing professional development opportunities and arts programming in the areas of dance, theatre, music and visual arts. She earned a B.S. degree from Western Michigan University in the area of Elementary Education, Music, and Integrated Language Arts and an M.A. degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in the area of Developmental Psychology.  Susan spent 6 years teaching in the private school system of New York City, moved back to Michigan, and continued to teach at the elementary level for 8 more years.  Susan continues to find ways to connect and integrate the arts to all areas of study.    She has worked with the MWBLI in several capacities for 4 of the previous sessions.  Susan sings in a vocal duo with her husband and finds time to go out into the community to learn about and participate in arts programs, workshops, and classes.
